In February 2007, BOW was proud to create the community wide "Bake Sale for Hunger," in which over $5000 over the past two years was raised for hunger relief projects locally and globally. 


Proceeds from the sale was distributed equally to several organizations:

• locally to TAP-In
• statewide to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, which assists over 50,000 Rhode Islanders every month who do not have enough to eat
• internationally to Ox-Fam, the worldwide confederation of 13 organizations working together in more than 100 countries to fight global poverty.
